My video is a lot longer than I would have liked and I had to leave a lot of things out. There was not enough time to do a real tutorial to show how easy it is to use Premiere Pro. I just highlighted a few things here and there. I think my video was fair. I think some people may judge a NLE based on the canned effects VS what the titling system can actually do. I think that is why some people prefer one NLE over the other. People will use what works best for their needs.

If you use Photoshop and AE then you are already paying into the CC so cost should not be an issue. If you use AE Premiere Pro might be a better option. Premiere Pro has good audio capabilities and I am sure they will continue to get better but then again so will all the other NLE.
Both should work but everyone’s needs will be different and every editor editing style is slightly different. That is why some prefer one NLE over the other.
I can only say that for myself when the Adobe products are combined as whole it make’s Premiere Pro shine a little brighter than it otherwise would. Having said that maybe you could let the employees demo of there top ten must have items for the NLE of their choice and see what items are the most valuable to your companies work flow.

I believe the old titling system is still there if you want to create your own graphics although I think you can still create masks and mattes with the new Essential Graphics system. I imagine for some folks than canned effects of FCPX and Premiere Pro will work but I would rather just do it myself. Having said that FCPX is pretty complex as opposed to iMovie of Movie Maker. I like how they made the audio editing process for Premiere simpler for most productions but if you need to get more complex Premiere can still do it. That is not to say DR, FCPX and Avid do not have awesome features as well.

You are not alone. I have not upgraded yet but It did that for me back with the older version all the time. It did it with Windows 7 and Windows 10. Adobe needs to rewrite the code from scratch.

Sure. But I might have thought watching a documentary about a musician that released one quite un-successful album in the 1960s then sank into obscurity for nearly the rest of his life, would be dull too.
Turned out “Searching for Sugarman” was positively brilliant. IMO Oscar brilliant in the end.
So it’s kinda hard to pre-judge this stuff until the work actually sees the light of day.”
Would you want to watch a documentary about Premiere Pro, Avid or Newtek? I think the Newtek documentary might prove to be the most interesting followed by Avid.

The movie seems OK but I am waiting for the release of the comic book and action figure play set. I plan on using them as stocking stuffers for my nieces and nephews.
