Wow thanks for the tip. Time remapping in FCP has always been a pain to me. I am used to timewarp in Avid which lets you adjust and ramp time in the timeline without effecting the clip length.

How do you do this…

::After installing FCP one of the first things I do is to change it so that any QT file created in FCP will open automatically with QT Player instead. A personal preference obviously, and it has nothing to do with how compatible the files are::

well another editor wants to take what i have done into avid. she thought the most lossless way would be hdv tape. any suggestions as to what the best workflow would be for a project shot on hdv? what would be the best way to get it to her?
