Thanks Mark. That was my solution (scale by 6.3), though it seems odd that both parameters are measured in degrees but don’t match when linked.

It’s amazing what can be achieved, though, by some careful linking.

Rigging and widgets are next on the list 🙂

Part 2

Adding the Lens Flare Generator and a replicator. The whole flare assembly is animated using a single controller.

Some steps could be simplified by duplicating layers or copying links then simply changing parameters.

I used the flare built in the tutorial to create the final transition by exporting a short Pro-Res file then importing into the composite project (also done in Motion 5) and adding a blend mode.

There’s plenty more that can be done to this to make it more interactive and adaptable.

UPDATE: (I assume I can’t edit my previous post?)

I tried clicking lots of things to see if I could unlock the Master control. Eventually I discovered the solo control in the right-click menu of the audio file in the project panel. Clicking this re-enabled the audio.

Oddly, clicking the small headphone solo icon, as I had earlier, did not work. If it happens again I’ll try the keyboard shortcut and see if that works.

Still, I’m left wondering why undoing an action should have any effect on the audio master.
