Because I’m sleep deprived, I’ve still been trawling the net for Marathon stuff. Griffin Technology were Marathon’s sister company, and their address matches the one one the Marathon website. Their phone number is on http://www.griffintechnology.com
I’ve used an email form to contact their support department, and ask if they have a PDF of the RackMount Manual from their old sister company Marathon Computer at all.The only other longshot to follow would be to contact your seller’s employer in his absence. Lol. ^_^
But I’m gonna close my browser now and call it a day.
But I’ll let you know if Griffin end up emailing me a manual. Lol. -
=/ Found Marathon’s G*Rack Manual, but is just some Rack joints you stick on the outside of a desktop case, so not the same thing. =P

=P Well, have found 3 Marathon Manuals online so far, x2 for some kinda HUB thingie, and one for a 12U rack ( https://www.dreamtek.tv/workflow/networking/marathon_rack_12u.pdf ), but no obvious power-rack stuff yet.

It would seem the Pyramac website just has pretty photos, and no instructions on dissecting G4s.

Well, I feel a bit of a goof on the cow today, but I wouldn’t worry about legal issues regarding marathon if all you want to know is where screws are located and so forth. Just give the chap a phone call, you got nothing to lose.
May also be worth double checking if the person who supplied the item to you has any extra knowledge. Has it been used, and as such would the last owner know how to set it up?
These are rather obvious questions though, so you may have looked into them.
Regarding dissecting a G4 however, there may be some other businesses that have other reasons to be savvy on Apple internal schematics, that may be able to help you, but I’ve no experience of this to give any real advice myself. -
..although even if I misinterpretted Dave, I’d still work by elimination, and try free suggestions first, before resorting to paying for tech support. But it’s all down to time vs money.

^_^ Okay, I stand corrected.
Am still using 7.5 and OS9, and despite dual booting to OSX, am not familiar with 8.2.3 or the latest Quicktime.

Is it really that difficult to setup? It’s only a rack mounting case isn’t it?
Eitherway, even if that email on the website is bouncing, you may be able to use the address given with directory enquires and phone this Stephen guy up, and ask him what happened to Marathon Computers, and take it from there.Unless it’s quicker to just figure it out without the manual.
If you’re a kid of the 80s like I am, you know you only look at the instructions, AFTER you’ve transformed Optimus Prime off your own back. And only then to see where the stickers went. ^_^ Half the fun was figuring it out for yourself.
Oh, sorry….just the movie’s coming out this year, so…

Have you tried some of what’s been spoken about first, however?
I.e.:
1) Does reverting back to the old Quicktime solve the problem? (Dave has already admitted Media100i doesn’t work with the latest Quicktime)
2) What about the other person’s advice of leaving it a day and/or creating a new user account to login from, and then running the program?
It shouldn’t cost you anything to look into those two points at least.
