By any chance did you make a copy. Cause if you made a copy you could open the copy.

Just kidding, but seriously everyone here has lost hours if not days of work to a black hole somewhere. Chalk it up to experience and start incrementally saving and using the new auto-save in AE7.

It’s happened to me and the second time around doing the same thing was a lot easier.

Try creating a new adjustment layer above the 2 layers and applying your night visiobn effect to it. Or pre-compose etc.

  • Ya, it’s DV, shot with an XL2. using 30p (progressive). Taken in a shaded area with 1 reflector if remember correctly.

Well, do you have Final Cut, I think you can export from there.

I would suggest you export your animations to a good Quicktime Codec like Animation or for smaller file sizes, Photo-JPG At 100 percent.

These files then can be transcoded in final cut or in encore with great results.

Sorenson 3 is a delivery format much like mpg-2, you don’t want to every cross transcode these end formats. Stay with a high quality or uncompressed format until you are ready to publish.

    Good luck,

Do you have a decent Video Card. Set to always use Open GL and you should get realtime.

  • The differences between the two cards is certainly not just a simple licensing issue. The LH allows for saving and working with multiple formats at capture, this is specific to the needs of visual effects artists and motion graphics artists who are working with shots. The footage can be captured directly into a cineon sequence for example and used uncompressed.

The HS card used with premiere and only be used to capture with adobes HD codec and is for use with premiere for editing.

Depending on your needs each card has it’s strengths.

Of course. But for the sake of originality do try and personalize.
