If the camera is orthographic then the effect of having a camera will certainly be lost. In the tutorial above, I simply resize the layers to the comp size before proceding. Good Luck,

Using the shape tool there are 3 options, vector-filled shape, vector shape, and raster shape. the raster shape is the 3rd option on the right in the top left corner of the options. I think when you have this selected you will be able to turn on aliasing if it isn’t already on.

What do you mean by quality. Are your color setting correct? Photoshop does need to be setup for use with specific printers as well.

Here is a quick little layer effects way to do it. I think it has to do with setting the bevel to outer and making it go down. also playing with the settings you should see how to make it work for you.
