    Hello,

Normally when I use the rectangle marquee tool, I believe anti-aliased is turned on. The marquee tool isn’t functoning like it usually does, and I noticed that anti aliased is turned off. I would like to turn anti-aliased on, to see if that allows the marquee to work like it normally does, however, it won’t even let me click the anit-aliased box in the toolbar/options bar.

I am not sure if I acidentally clicked something or what, but this is driving me nuts.

Using the shape tool there are 3 options, vector-filled shape, vector shape, and raster shape. the raster shape is the 3rd option on the right in the top left corner of the options. I think when you have this selected you will be able to turn on aliasing if it isn’t already on.

    Thanks,

Rectangular Marquee never has anti-alias (only feather)

    Eliptical marquee has both…

Check if you have a high feather value insterted by mistake
