    Hi,

It was originally ingested using the HDCAM EX 1 format. I then moved it to a normal DV timeline in order to crop the size from 16:9 to 4:3.

    Cheers.

Right. Thanks a lot. It’ll take some time getting used to this camera. My DOP is Taiwanese and hasn’t translated all of the settings to Chinese yet.

Would I be correct in assuming the same advice should hold true for 720 24p, and that a 24p timeline would make the 60 fps stuff even slower?

And, is there any way to convert the 60p stuff down to 30p or 24p to make it look a little more natural? I was experimenting with a commercial project for a hotel(whoops). I think they’ll want a softer look.

Another question. I recorded the project in 720 60p, just to experiment with the slow motion. My timeline is set to 720 60p, and the clips look as if the shutter angle has been changed – choppy like. When I change the timeline to 720 30p, it’s in slow mo. Is there any way to have it look normal (ie 24/30p video)?

    Thanks for any help.

Thanks guys. I was trying to open the mp4 files. I had the XD cam transfer software installed, but wasn’t opening from the BPAV folder.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I’ll let you know what it looks like, and what technique I used, when I get to the editing. The shoot’s mid January.

    Thanks again.

Do you know what other effects are going to come standard on FCP 6? I’m curious which ones I should shell out for and which ones to wait for.

    Cheers.
