    Hi Pushpa

You should get the information you need from my tutorial on unlinking tracks & j and l cuts in premiere pro. It shows how to select specific tracks.

    Hope this helps

Wise words! I agree, that is about as close as you can get in PPro, but it takes a bit of thinking through and won’t ever be a truly dynamic title style.

As for FCP & Motion – I have a pc, so it’s not an option for me. :o( maybe one day …

However, if you were to use dynamic link and add the titles in AE you could do this with pre-comps quite simply and just change the content of the pre-comp to change the style?

    What do you think?

    Thanks again

  • Hi David

There\’s a button for that at the top of the title window called new title based on previous title. I have done quite a few title tutorials in the premiere pro video tutorials section of the Cow and show exactly how to do this in one of those. Check them out and you will find the solution.

    Hope this help

    Hi Edwin

See my tutorial on pan and zoom & corner pin effect in premiere pro. Also, if you use after effects see my recent tutorial on separating layers with mocha 2.

    Hope this helps

Hi, not sure what’s happening, but have you seen my tutorial in premiere pro about dynamic link from the pp workflow? This may deal with some dynamic link issues.

    Hope this helps

  • Hi Sue, I’ve put the tutorial up on using Mocha 2 to separate items in your footage to different layers. Let me know what you think.

  • Hi Sue

I’m pleased you like my accent, I’ve been working on it for years ;o)

After effects is THE special effects software so I am sure you will be able to do all these things and more.

As for the music and lights things, see my 2 tutorials on Using Music to control effects -1 & 2. These will show you how to use audio to control any effects you want!

To blur just a person or item you really need to isolate it from the background. To do this I would start by duplicating the layer and then tracking the item or person I wanted to blur. My preference for this kind of tracking would be Mocha for AE if you are using AE CS4 or CS5. If you are using CS5, then still in Mocha I would create a shape around the item or person, link that to the tracking layer and export out the shape date on to the top layer in AE. That way, all you have on the top layer is the item you want to blur or treat.

If I get time, I may do a short mocha tutorial just to demonstrate how this works.

    Hope this helps

Do bear in mind that sometimes, when you work with HD footage, that the issue isn\’t the processor but the speed of your hard drives.

  • Hi Sue

You may find my tutorial on the dynamic link wotkflow for premiere pro helpful as it could save you a lot of time. See the tutorials tab and the premiere pro link to find it.

    Hope this helps
