I’m thinking to editing in the native timebase and produce quicktimes for that and then use a compression at the end of the edit to create a file for dvd?

Hi,

Ended up fixing it after reading another post.

Normally we have our Easy Setup as All Formats and All rates
But I changed it to PAL and 25… deleted audio, saved and closed. When I reopened and reimported audio everything was fine…

Very glad it’s solved but still a bit confused!

Thanks for your response.

Unfortunately I don’t have access to a capture card at all.
They’re currently capturing the tapes with a deck and sending over the drive.

Is there another way to convert to Pro Res and (once I find out if the tapes are SD or HD) up res the media?

Michael that blog was precisely what I was looking for!

One thing that I’m still dithering about is exporting OMFs in Reels or as seperate tracks, as If i did it in reels the TC on the OMFs won’t match up to the whole QT export?

Would you recommendation be to always break the OMFs down in to tracks as opposed to fragments of the sequence?

Might be a silly question but could I literally take an FCP project and delete all the Video channels and then ,after using the media manager to and HDD, my director would be able to access this project’s audio through FCP on his laptop when in the states in case any extra exports need to be ran?

After clearing my preferences, what is it that I should look to reset other than the Easy setup, seq settings and renders?
