It is the 486 lines of resolution being squeezed to 480 (this is my guess) I printed the program to DV via SDI and imported it back as DV and the problems went away. Hope this helps

Once you import into AE or whatever compositing program the rough edges go away. It freaked me out the first time I saw it in a stand alone Quicktime. It is just the alpha.

If you are inclined you can hook up a DV camera to the firewire port and output the camera to a TV. It will have dv compression but it beats nothing.

Does the PSD file have layers? If so flatten it and save it as a tiff or jpeg.

For a portable jib try http://www.microdolly.com It is light and controls the head with cables, works very well
once you get the hang of it.
