    Thanks guys, its a shame there’s not something free out there though! My computer finds it distressing but perhaps i’ll just use Cinema.. Heard good things about Freeform though, will have a peruse..

    Agreed, to my eye it was almost certainly C4D, most the tricks there are pretty straight forward mograph stuff, mind you VideoCopilots Elements looks pretty amazing for its simplicity and use in AE so as posted above that would be a good start. Sure you don’t want to do it in 2D anyway: :p

    Ahah, great, yeah it must have been region of interest I was thinking about. Unfortunately this applies for a whole composition so either i need to pre-comp or just do it the usual way with masks.
