    Hello Rafael,

Thank you for you suggestion. I did try zooming into the canvas to get a sharper key. But, for whatever reason the exported video kept having some spillage. I finally added (or should say found) the green spill suppressor filter and that solved the problem.

Thanks for you help, I appreciate it.

    Thanks you, Chris for answering.

FCE has been working for me so far. It is just that I recently received some video shot by someone else and the codec he gave me is not compatible with FCE. Also, as my skill set with FC progress it would be nice to have the beefier version. I just wasn’t sure if FCP 6.06 is obsolete now.

    Thanks again,

  • Thanks for the help, everyone!

  • Thanks for the info, Richard. But unfortunately this did not work.

I believe the clip is already saved as a quick time file as it is a .mov. But if I try opening the file with quicktime directly from my scratch drive the following error comes up:

“The document “Untitled-23.mov” could not be opened. The movie is not in a format that QuickTime Player understands.

You may need to install additional software to open this type of file. “

There is a ‘tell me more button’ which links you to this page:

Do I really need to update from FCE to studio to open this file? It doesn’t seem right because I can import it into FCE and play it in the canvas. But like I said earlier it only plays the audio and not the video. I would think if the file was not compatible at all that nothing would play.

    Thank you for any insight,

    Andy
