August 27, 2011 at 11:16 pm in reply to: How to change a black background into transparency? Thanks Dave. In the end, I still lose some of the black in the logo, but the unmult effect still is better than shift channels, or some other solution. I’ll send ’em this version and if they complain about, I’ll ask for a proper video with alpha. Thanks!

Thank you so much Chris, you’re very kind!
Looks like now Apple is finally gonna build a manufacturer plant here in Brazil. So, apple products will probably cost much less than today, with these ridiculous import taxes.
-
Chris, I´ll wait for someone to come to Brazil and deliver one for me. Shipping would be a bad choice, because it has 99% chance of being taxed at the customs, and by that I mean it would cost 50% more.

thanks for the reply Walter. I didn´t know the minimum specs for FCP. Well, that sort of says it by itself 🙁 🙁
my boss is gonna borrow me his mbp (which is just like mine who died today) until I can buy a new one.
Thanks for the help! -
Aaron, if I make the setup as you put on the picture, when I put the footage in the timeline FCP will ask if I want to match the video settings. I click “no” and it’ll ask for a preview render. But the video is no longer interlaced in the preview window (like the picture I posted above).
-
what is really happening is that FCP understands these footages were shot in progressive video, but they were shot in interlaced video. Even when I right-click the footage in the FC browser and go to “format”, it says “field dominance: none”
Is there some app for mac (outside FCP) which tells you the details on a .mov file?

December 5, 2008 at 5:54 pm in reply to: HD looks like crap on youtube – what am I doing wrong?thank you so much guy.
I’ll try your tips and see if it gets better.
it’s a shame my client wants so bad the video to be on youtube. On vimeo.com it looks so much better… 🙁 -
thanks for your suggestions guys!
in the end, I decided to record the final movie on s-vhs and put it back to the computer. It worked great!
I was thinking too much about filters and even forgot there was this much easier (and in my opnion, better) way. Thanks again!
