Nope, that tutorial is not an answer. I found Voxel Effect for C4D, created a white ball of squares and projected an image in After Effects. It is kinda giving me what I was after. I will work on the projection and I hope this will be a satisfying result as we film a parody on BEP and other bands so I hope this will do. Will share it afterward
Well, I am after the same effect for my project. The problem with the Form is that they use circles, stars etc but not squares. I think I would even prefer flat squares instead of 3d dots. Any suggestions on that?
Thanks that’s interesting. Will have to see it in examples. So far it looks Voxel is applied to LOGOs and TEXTs mainly. Would need to explore more. Thank you. If any helpful link please post.
I personally would do that in Cinema 4D. Andrew Kramer explains similar effect with other object. However it is exactly what he is doing- spinning object which falls in the end.

Thank you for your ideas. When you watch the camera movement it doesn’t look very real according to the smooth angle it makes. I work on C4D but I have never heard of matching the music on that soft. Is that possible? The rest is pretty obvious as long as one can make the needle move by the bit in C4D.
There is no problem with the 3d objects, I am on Cinema 4D too. The question is how to fold it so as it is on the video? I know it is hard to explain in words, video tutorial would be of more help. Thanks, anyway, guys.
