  • Usually, if you want to keep the same aspect ratio for your image, you must check the *constrain proportion* in the *image size* dialog. If your bigger resolution image has other proportion than 640×480 (4:3) it’s naturl to don’t look alike when you make it 640×480.. maybe you must crop it a bit 🙂

    I’m not sure.. but maybe it’s about the *proof setup* (that’s on View/Proof Setup). Maybe that’s set to CMYK and in the *Save for Web* dialog you view the file as a RGB… maybe this is the cause of the color difference. I had this prob once.

    Hi,

    In Illustrator you can change the position of the grid by moving the origin of the rulers. So make the rulers visible (Ctrl + R), then click in the upper left corner, where the horizontal and the vertical rulers meet (it’s a little square there), then drag your cursor over the edge of the artboard. The grid should be in the right position now.
