Media is on an internal RAID. And previews are on the SSD.

Doesn’t matter if it’s full, half or quarter

I did indeed have keyframes set to every 10 seconds. I will give your idea a try.

Sorry, yes they were self contained. Though I must admit I did not watch them on an NTSC monitor.

However, the flash frames were showing up on the computer monitor.

November 4, 2011 at 3:02 pm in reply to: Interlace showing up in sequence

    Sorry, a little more info.

Its a broadcast reel with all sources arriving SD on digibeta from the network. So everything should be 29.97 source. All other clips on the sequence are playing fine.

I did a test sequence of just this one clip. Dropped it on and same result.

I’m beginning to think this is some artifact of the way in which it was shot. Maybe it was shot with a DSLR or in 24p or 25 and pull down was added.

Either way, I think I’m just stuck with it the way it is.

You’re a high roller there David.

I think I had version 3.0 drivers. Uninstalled and reinstalled version 3.1. (I had recently updated to snow leopard which could be the cause of a conflict.) Hopefully that will do the trick.

BTW, I was also getting General Error (49) occassionally when I would try to advance or go back by one frame using the arrow keys.

    Maybe that will disappear too.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Walter.

I’d like to have the look of the stock footage, but with more control. Mostly, I want to add an obscuration layer (specifically a photo) in 3D so the lights can pass over and around it.

SDI cable (via AJA) vs firewire did the trick. Don’t know why it didn’t do a good job via firewire the first time, but now I know.

So let me get this further further straighter. I should re-ingest via SDI at 10bit?
Or I should re-ingest at DV50 and deal with clips in my sequence that need to be rendered?
