I’ve the app’s prefs here and the same thing happens.
I will change that later today. In the meantime you can create the “/Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro/Disabled Templates.localized/” manually. From there it should work.Andreas

Launching the app first gives you a warning.
If you proceed the app on it’s first launch will create a directory at “/Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro/” if it not exists.
Then it will create a folder named “Disabled Templates”, within this folder it will create the basic subfolders.
When you move templates out of the FCPX bundle they will at the same level as they had been within FCPX.
After you moved some stuff always a log file with a unique name is written into the “Disabled Templates” folder.Have fun

You can’t get rid of them, but you can make your own order.
Set up a style and from the popup save the style with a name like “0_my customer 1” etc. Cause of the number as first character these style(s) will always be first in the popup list.

It won’t cause any trouble to remove template out of app bundle.
Something you should be aware though is that they will be back with the next update.

Michael sent me an XML last night to check what can be done.
Here’s what you can do.
Download my TitleExchange:
https://www.spherico.com/filmtools/TitleExchange/TitleExchangePro_SL.dmgOnce installed you got several apps inside the TitleExchange folder.
Open TitleExchange and select XML Marker as source and STL Text as target format.
Import the Inscribe XML and save the STL.
Then launch XTI (you may read the help file).
Open the STL and convert to FCPX.

Can the person that used gel batteries tell me how you convert voltage? A 12v-110 converter?
I use a german 12 – 220/240 converter. So you won’t get this brand in the US.
But ask in any electronics shop and you will get one.Andreas

I’ve used both. For some stuff we used an AC powered FW RAID 5 box to back up data on location.
As said the solution gives you some pounds (more or less depending on the setup) of weight, but it’s always a good feeling to have an hour or so after the “external” power supply fails.
One thing to note with this setup is: be aware that MBPs are very picky with external power supplies. A Windows laptop just accepts any DC power from a battery a MB(P) won’t.And to confirm those others who replied: any drive except the boot drive can be be unmounted via Finder or Disk Utility at any time (as long no app is running which is using data from this disk). You also can write a little script to mount drives with a single click.
