    Two ways

    1)
You can change the color of the source (color solid 7 1) but that will change all instances of that object throughout the project.

    2)
Alternatively you can use filters to change the color of just the one clone:
-Apply a Threshold filter, and drag both the threshold and smoothness parameters to 0
-Apply a Colorize filter and remap white to the color you want.

    Hope that helps

  • Have you tried completely removing and re-installing Motion?

  • I had a similar issue a while back.
All I could get to show was the timeline and the HUD, all other panels were gone. It turned out that they had somehow moved to different desktops.
Do you use multiple desktops (Spaces, is what Apple called them)? If so try pressing F7 to get the overview (Exposé) and see if they are hiding there. If they do, you can simply drag them back while in the Exposé view.

I don’t know if it can be done with a check box, but you can definately do it with a drop-down menu. Just make two states one with opacity 100% and one with opacity 0% and then use the drop-down to switch between them.

-Place the image in a group.
-Make a rectangle the same size as the image, and place it dirctly below the image (0.1px on the z-axis is far enough behind)
-Animate the group instead of the image itself.

  • I would say: Yes.
Compared to other animation applications Motion is quick to learn, and fast to work with.
It doesn’t have all the advanced functions of AE, and it is not true 3D like Cinema 4D, Maya etc. But for what you are asking I’m sure it will be great because of its ease of use.
And at $50 it’s by far the most bang for buck.

Just make some white rectangles with at thin black stoke and a drop shadow, and then put the text on top.

  • What happens if you transcode it or export as image sequence?
