    From wikipedia:

[edit] 4:2:0 [i.e. much chorma subsampling]

    This scheme is found in:

All versions of MPEG, including MPEG-2 implementations such as DVD (although some profiles of MPEG-4 allow higher-quality sampling schemes such as 4:4:4)

Difficult to do. Trapcode form might be a better solution fo you. If you still want to do it with Mr. Mercuary do the beginning of the transition manually: text layer with a transition to something resembling both your text layer and a beginning of Mr Mercuary and disolve again to a Mr mercuary layer bursting on top.

first of all you might try changing your project to 16-bit or even 32 bit and see what happens. Then render to quicktime animation and play around with the codecs. The blu ray supported codecs should be able to pull it through

You can always stop the layer itself or morph into a regular text layer and the morph back.

Yes, that would be wise. To be on the safe side I created the text in Photoshop using comp size layers (with alpha) and imported them into AE.

How many layers are you using? Are they all 3d and comp size? how many markers are set?
Unfortunately I can’t post a working project though I am staring at it as it contains other stuff….
