Thanks I will give this a try

  • Thanks for the answers guys. That was quite detailed and just what I needed.

Looks like I’m going to have to find a way to import AE projects into Motion. If you have other solutions, I’m all ears 🙂

Thanks for your replies, that’s exactly the info I needed. I’ll keep using the Animation codec since I have to upload the file on a server so keeping it smaller is best.

    Thanks again

I’m not using the camera, I just meant I’m animating the thing to make it look like the camera is moving around the Earth, hence the quotes around the word camera.

    Thanks anyways though 🙂

Originally I didn’t want the text to be curved, more like float in space, but I tried your solution and it works well. thanks a lot for the help Dave and David.

As for the Earth rotation, don’t worry Im not making it rotate, it’s really the “camera” that flies around the earth.

    Thanks again

The turbulent displacement works pretty well actually. Thanks for that.

Thanks a lot, the Wiggle expression was what I needed. Just another question though, what I’m animation are the lines of country borders on a map. The lines are all one layer so when I animate their position, they all move together. I was wondering if there was a distortion effect I could use that would reproduce the video’s shaky feel without looking like all the borders are one object.

    Thanks a bunch.
