I am not sure about this but, have you done any transformation to that footage? If so, click the collapse transformation. If this won’t solve your problem, just send me caps of your AE screen. ( alptonay@yahoo.com.tr) I will try to help you..

I couldn’t understand the situation exactly (my Eng. is not so good)but I think the problem is caused by parenting. Try parenting position of the layers not the layers. Then, in my opinion your problem will be solved. and have you tracked your frame position or position-rotation? may be you should try just position.

March 20, 2010 at 2:34 pm in reply to: A tricky keying problem (bright sky -> cloudy sky)Hi, First of all if it is not a shaky footage by shooting I think I have solved it. I have copied your footage caps and have tried this: (just the that scene) open the footage in a new comp. duplicate, make above layer pre-comp. open in new window by moving all attributes. then drop your sky footage or image whatever and place it above the footage. use blending option darken. White places will be seen as your sky. And also you can use for much more correcting a mask options by using feather and mask expansion. Here is the result:

hi, once I have met a problem like this and solved it in that way: I rendered as “uncompressed” then used video converter “Total Video Converter”. It gives you so much variety of setting. This is kind a solution. I hope this will help you..

March 18, 2010 at 2:39 pm in reply to: Collapse Transformation button makes thick borders on nested compositions (?!)Hi, I am not sure but when you use the stroke as a border, half is inside the comp half is outside the comp. Eg: when you set the thickness 14px, 7 px seem in inside 7px outside. After you precomp the composition you see just the 7px. Then if you use collapse transformation it bocomes 14 px. So you need to use as thickness half value rather than you use.

March 17, 2010 at 12:38 am in reply to: Black Background Frames with Alpha Channel to FLVI am not sure but I think it’s about your fade “dissolve in” with FCP. So the processor may not understand the alpha in first couple of frames. Do you have to do it with your video editor? try convert to FLV without fade, and then send to flash guy. Flash can make that fade easily. Or just make whole these with AE and switch to flash. They work totally synchron together. I think this will solve the problem.

you can use slider control to increase the speed. just pick whip the x or y or z position of the camera to slider control. Set your key frames synchron to the words “faster” (like; 1st second: 10 , 5th second: 50, 10th second:100) and then add an expression to slider control: time*whatever you want(it may be 20 or 500 etc.) this makes sliders values up. after that you can delete your keyframes.
( I may be wrong by the descripton of expression but I am sure this is in the right way. here it’s 03:30 am and I am tired. So tomorrow I will try to descript this with caps.)Alperen T. AYHAN
