Same experience here. I bought my BMCC in Toronto. Very nice dealer and all but they did not have accessories at all, not even the SSD cards.

They also said… just hop over to any Computer store and they will have them…. well turned out no one had them.

I am from Caribbean so had to leave Toronto, now back on my Sunny island want to film some nice tropical sceneries.. but no SSD card available on island… Have to buy online, pay transport/duties and taxes….

I will safe some bucks if I just order the old version sandisk extreme 480… if there is hardly any difference in performance… So Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on this.

Really, just less then 1 % faster ONLY….. and almost 10% more expensive… Is not really woth the deal is it… Better I go with the normal sandik extreme 480 and not the “II” version..

any more thoughts on this is welcome

Thank you, I didnt register my camera yet, may be a good idea to do so.

    I did read this:

Camera Utility software is installed on your computer

but is it was not mentioning the cameras firmware firmware. It mentions computer software.

Will this also mention the current installed firmware on the camera, so I will know whether to update the camera or not?

Thank you, I am shopping for the SSD, there seem to be two different ssd extremes available:

SanDisk Extreme Solid State Drive (480GB)

    & the

SanDisk Extreme II Internal SSD (480GB)

Which one would work best on BMCC?

Question: There seems to be a newer version of Scandisk extreme there is a 2 behind as in Scandisk extreme 2. Will it work with my camera?

Which reader should I get for the Extreme 480, I am on windows 7.

Thank you,so with all this in mind with similar lens on both EF and MFT will deliver same image quality?

EF will not be inferior quality to MFT version?

I am sorry for kind of repeating my question… I am just about to buy mine from the supplier here.

    Thank you

Thanks for that reply, I am buying mine this week from a supplyer that has both in stock.

If the image quality is the same, I will for sure get the EF version.

The reason why asking is that the EF version does not seem to use the intire lens. Just part of the lens, or am I mistaken?
