I’d just take the whole folder structure from the DVD and drop it into a folder on your hard drive.
Then import the VOB’s from the folder into pPro.
Should read it just fine.

What if you reveal the clip in the Finder (or Windows OS)…
Bring it manually into AE
Pull the Key
Output new file.
Make off line and then relink media of master clip in ppro project to keyed output file from AE?
no idea if this will work…but worth a shot…

because the clip is used in a sequence…as indicated by usage column…

so….are any of the duplicates 0?
and just to confirm…
if you start a new project….
1 clip
create 1st sequence, add clip it.
create 2nd sequence, add same clip 2 it.
you end up with clip clips in project panel?

in the project panel, right click a column header
choose metadata display
in the window that pops up, type video in the search box
check video usage box and confirm.

it may not be exposed by default, but there is a video usage column in the project panel.
show it, sort by it, that may help.

Hi…
While I can confirm that unlike FCP….footage in a sequence must exist in the Project panel.
I tested in CC (not 2014) by using the same clip in 2 sequences and it did NOT duplicate in the project panel.
that does indeed seem like and unexpected behavior…from everything I know about PPro.
