Well they do offer scaling….in prefs.

your gotcha is that you want to maintain the native aspect ratio within 16:9 frame…

Hi…

1) open the source material form the project panel into the source viewer
2) go to effecters controls
3) see the word “master” at the top of the window (indicating master clip)
4) in your effects tab find “transform” in the distort category
5) drop it on to the effects control panel
6) scale to taste

now every time you use that clip in a sequence it will have that scaling applied….

if you adjust the master, all uses will update….

Sorry …. got confused with a different software….

just that your using either matte luma or matte alpha depending on the channels you have to look at in your matte clip….

since you want luma based..I assume you made sure that track matte was set to look at RGB and not alpha?

You could also set up a muticam source sequence and stack multiple nests sequences together in a timeline…

then use the multi cam viewer and see as many as you wanted at the same time…

hmmm…

a couple things come to mind…

1) load one in the source viewer and one int the timeline….queue both to a same start point and “Gang” the viewers. this would allow a sync’d scrub of 2 sequences

2) if you load them in order int he source viewer….they should be available to switch between in the source viewer history…

how about check footage interpretation in the Project panel

(of the raw material…not converted)….

could be interpreting it wrong…
