Thank you! We are working on getting telestream vantage for all of it’s benefits, and it appears desktop encoders are definitely in decline.
I apologize for flagging your post that you mentioned telestream vantage, I got mouse trigger-happy and clicked on it when the pointer was hovered -unnoticeably- over it. Your comment was very helpful!

Thank you Craig! Unfortunately, cloud based products is an option I stay away from due to past issues.

Perfect! It worked, thank you! I had to use a different port # in the end; I was not aware you had to include that.
Thank you!

Hello Bryson! Thank you for providing this troubleshoot walkthrough, however I posted a thread recently about the Premiere Panel.
I am currently having an issue connecting to our CatDV server from Premiere Pro. I was able to successfully install the extension, however I am not able to log in to our server (even though it is the correct IP address we use on the Desktop Client). On the log in screen in the Panel, it only asks for “CatDV Server:” with the localhost text (that I deleted and changed to the Server address), and no Username or Password option is available/present.
Even with the localhost left as the default name for the server, I click on connect and it just hangs on that screen with no indication of progress. This is the same when I change it to our CatDV Server address.
Is there anything else that needs to be done in order for it to work? We have the Desktop Client of CatDV Pro, and Adobe Creative Cloud CC (for Teams). We are also able to send files to Premiere Pro from CatDV, but we would love to use the Panel within Premiere Pro.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thank you!

Additionally, we have the Adobe Creative Cloud for Teams, not Enterprise if that makes a difference. There was mention of supporting “Adobe Anywhere” which I noticed is only available to Adobe Enterprise memberships.

Thank you again Bryson!
It turned out to be a conflict with the worker node and the server type we had. It would not update even after being moved/deleted and created until we reinstalled everything to their more recent updates.

Thank you everyone for your response! The team and I are working on the next steps we have with CatDV (having a bit of technical issues with ghost files and server complications), they are being worked out and as soon as that is done we are going to decide what to do from there.
We will keep you in mind! Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time with your response Bryson!
Now, given I am sure you are exhausted with my question (I am likely to try this proposed procedure pending the answer to my next questions) I am going to create a different forum asking/clarifying about having a ftp setup; is this required for sharing?
Thank you for your time! I really appreciate it!

Thank you for your response!
We are going to be in contact with SBS about this (We have CATDV Pro 11.1.1 and the updated worker node).
If you don’t mind providing some more information as to how it is set up on your worker node for delivery? We created a metadata field for people to input their email address however we are stuck on finding the right command and location for obtaining that metadata field and delivering that link/file to the users email via workernode.
Regardless, we have been “enjoying” our trial and error methods of CatDV and we continue to get very useful help from the community and SBS! Thank you!

Thank you for your response John.
Correct, the original files that I import into catdv and publish to the server are too large for the webclient to see and therefore I want to use proxies. What I had done yesterday is set it up that when I import the original media that the proxy is “force used” rather than the original media. I did this because If I have the original media in there and I create a proxy it seems that when I publish that catalog to the server the Client will be able to see the Full Res file (which doesn’t stream correctly). I mainly want them only be able to view the proxy files given the file size streams better.
