these are stills of paused images, zoomed in.
i made the res difference 1/16 vs full, just to make it more obvious, but paused image clearly does not revert to full res.

and yes. i checked the manual first; couldn’t find the answer.

This is still happening.

Unfortunately, I appear to have spoken too soon in my last post. Even with my eGPU plugged in (and I have upgraded since my last post to a Radeon Vega 64), the flicker line is still there whenever I alter the frame rate on the timeline.
It’s absolutely maddening. If I slightly change the speed/duration of a clip, or ramp the speed in any direction, I get the flickering black line when I output.

That is, to put it lightly, quite a restriction when editing.

WTF? Can someone from Adobe comment on this please?

My (not so cheap) solution has been to plug in an extra graphics card via an eGPU (Sonnet eGFX with a Radeon RX580)
The flicker has disappeared. The moment I remove the graphics card and export the same clips, the flicker returns.
WTF is going on behind the scenes I have no idea, but there is my workaround. Adobe please pull your socks up

I have this same issue. Working on 4k mov files in premiere, then exporting as the same, 4k movs.
Everything seems fine until we review the new export movs. Black flickering vertical line on rightmost edge of video. It is only a couple of pixels’ diameter, right on the edge.

Following forum suggestions I have tried all three graphics options in Premiere -setting video renderer to OpenCL; Metal ; Software only, in project settings. Exactly same result each time.

Further thing I noticed: For my batch, the flicker only occurs on clips whose speed I have altered in the timeline:
I exported 5 clips separately.
2 of them I left as shot (59.94fps on a 29.976 project, so 50% of ‘realtime’ speed) – no flicker, perfect exports.
The other 3 I sped up slightly – they have flickering line.

This is not a solution, but perhaps will help developers track down and identify the bug? Squash it, please!

OK this is downright weird. Further to this discovery above (that premiere didn’t know how to interpret a sequence) I tried creating a new project.
Many sequence presets have disappeared from the list! The footage I’m dealing with is from a Sony EX1, and when I created the project I selected the EX preset to match the footage.

1)Where have these presets gone?
2)Why?
3)How do I get them back?!

Step 15, repairing disk permissions, has helped me. I can now open the project in Encore, and Premiere successfully loads, but when I select the project in Premiere’s landing page dialog box, it gives me the following error:

I am having the same problem and was relieved to find this page. however neither solution so far posted has worked for me, possibly due to some confusion on my behalf. I am also using resolve lite 9.

@Rohit – I presume you mean to click on the CTI bar just above the clips on deliver page? Then Edit >Select all? (There is no direct button with ‘Select all’ on my screen). However when I try this, nothing visibly happens, and when I render it still only exports the first clip.

@justin – Where do you mean by the ‘render bin’ please? I have tried shift clicking on all the clips in various places (deliver page timeline, colour page timeline, media page media pool, conform page media pool, etc) and none of these result in a green frame around the clips to indicate they are all selected. There is also no ‘Render’ button other than the ‘Render/Edit to Tape’ option buttons beneath the Deliver page video viewer. Do you mean ‘Start Render’? (This is what I have been using). Sorry to be so pedantic but I’m trying to get to the bottom of this annoying problem!
