    Solution from Sony…works for me

It appears that Vegas Pro 11 is set as the default program to open that particular file extension. Please locate one of the .veg files that you are trying to open and right click it. Then navigate to Open With -> Choose Default Program and select Vegas Pro 12 from the list.

All .veg files should now be correctly associated with, and opened by, Vegas Pro 12.

I did not delete Vegas Pro 11, is that why when I “save as” in Pro 12 it saves edits as Vegas 11 veg files? Then it says that I can’t open the edit because it was created on a newer version of Vegas.

If I delete Vegas 11 will all my past edits open in Vegas 12?
