Ok I fixed it by going to the panels section of the keyboard editor and deleting the up/down keys which were being used for next/previous screen.

That doesn’t give the same ‘threshold’ look that I need. Thanks anyways les and Vincent but I have decided to tackle this another way. It won’t be as good as vector but I think it will be good enough.

Just to clarify, I am trying to do a Live Trace without the added white background, or removing the white background without removing the white portions of the image.

Ok I tried that also but when I use the Live Trace feature, it turns the photo to black and white (which is what I want), but then the background is white also which results in portions of the image being deleted along with the background, as before.
Can I remove the background in Photoshop after using Live Trace and still keep it as a vector image?

Well I tried that but it deleted all of the white in the image. Maybe I am going about this wrong? I am trying to turn a photo into comic-style, but it must be vector. I thought the Live Trace would be adequate but I guess I need to find another way. If you or anyone else reading this could point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks so much.

Is there a better way to do it? Do tell.

I tried it that way also and I still had to pre-compose the layer in order for CC Force Motion Blur to work. I’m using CS5.5
I used NewBlue’s Motion Blur and that worked without having to pre-compose.

Thanks John. That worked great.
Also, I had to pre-compose the layer before the CC Force Motion Blur would work with this effect.
