[Michael Goldberg] “This is a very disappointing issue. I was hoping someone might have and answer to this. We were strongly considering replacing our bluefish cards with Xena Hs, but it won’t do if we can’t share the media in other apps. If you here, or anyone knows if this changes, I’d love to hear about it……

No answers…this is the reason why we finally had given up, we sent back our Xena. Too many hassles with the card and too little knowledge with aja and pc.(europe)i.e. Trying to find a well educated dealer for cineform prospect and Aja/PC?….nada, niente, nix, nothing…not a good point for daily work, when problems start at the first installation!

sadly, but…next attempt will be the BMD MB extreme

  • [JF Robichaud] “Another way to open a seemingly corrupted project file is to start another project and import the old project into. This method could also have worked in this case.”

Yes could but did not: Imported in a new project, after a while the errormessage showed up again and again…

  • As I thought the solution was found in the projectfile (opened with editor)
I searched for “Linkcontainer” and found 132 Linkindexes. Deleted index for index and tried to reload the project. Finally I found a defect(?) one and I could restart my project.
Until now th errormessage doesn`nt come again.
What makes me wondering is, that after restarting the project, it was exactly the same project, nothing was missing after deleting the link index, and finally nobody knows what really happened….

  • thx for the answer steve.

“going ahead” means, open a 3h old project, start cutting again and than this errormessage appears again, sometimes when putting clips from projectmanager to timeline, sometimes when shifting clips at the timeline.
We are doing only cuts, nothing else.

    not good, not good…

  • thx, that`s what we did, but problem is, going ahead with the project, causes the same error message!
    What could cause this error?

Isn`t there any opportunity to see if there is a error in the opened projectfile in the editor?

It`s a big project and we are too far advanced to use the latest copy, it

  • actual error-message is:
    [\dev\CaptainDoby\Backend\Src\Sequence\LinkContainer.cpp-226]

Under normal and dark circumstances I would use only one 5000 AnsiLumen projector (correct rearprojection foil, no operafoil or other), so yes with two stacked 5000-projectors you are definitely on the save side.

[AJA Sales Department] “The XENA LHe ships with our Machina software application which allows recording to DPX, Cineon, TGA, TIFF, BMP, AVI, and QuickTime files, from with er the analog or digital inputs of the LHe.”

Ok, so I record with Machina software the incoming YUV from Z1 to AVI or Quicktime. For example after a take I can soon control the recorded take in real time with machina software and go ahead with next take… is this right?

While recording is there a liveoutput either on HD or SD (YUV or SDI) for a monitor?

    thx

Most theaters, dependend on its size are well equipped with right lighting. Screens are mostly used for backgrounds (projection codalights or whatever)
Big advantage in most thearters ist enough backstageroom (rearprojection) existing trussing (ask for available loading).
Most disadvantage is, if you need a setup like FOH, cameras or stagedirecting inside the auditorium, cabelling and camerasetup can be a pain.
