To apply and remove the whole clip gain envelope, just hide it – RX will behave as if it’s baked into the audio. Or, apply some trivial operation like gain at +0 dB – it will bake in the clip gain.
To remove the whole envelope without applying it, press Ctrl+Shift+Bkspace (or use the right-click menu).

If they muffle your audio too much, make sure that their frequencies and Qs are set correctly. Perhaps your Q is too low and filters cut too much material around the hum. In many cases, use of the Denoiser module is more justified for hum removal, as its adaptive filters can sense the presence of speech and accordingly control the amount of reduction.

Post a sample here that is a few seconds long. We’ll suggest you the right settings. Generally hum is more effectively treated by the Denoiser module, using algorithms C and D. Train the denoiser on a sample of hum (make it as long as possible, but still containing only noise) and adjust your Tonal/Broadband Reduction sliders for appropriate treatment.

February 16, 2013 at 10:41 pm in reply to: Audio problem – can anyone offer a suggestion?It was completely automatic! (in fact I did not even listen to Set1 because I had to remotely process it from home on my office PC).
However I had to modify the Declicker detection algorithm to work better with this type of clicks. Hopefully the next version of RX will have this improvement integrated.
On RX vs. SL: I think that RX has a huge advantage for restoration work. SL is perhaps more flexible for spot editing, but RX has automatic tools that specifically target noise reduction.
