    Well if you try to create something with vectors such as text+ of a polygon. Then you make it very small to the point you can barely see it (e.g.: 10% scale). Then you nest that into a compound clip. (Highlight>rightclick>NewComp). Then you increase the scale of the compound clip until you can visualise the text you wrote (e.g.: 1000% scale to cancel out the 10% scale you did before). You will se it’s super pixelated as if the compound clip rasterised once and flattened the vectors from the Text+ into pixels. Instead of canceling out the pre-comp 10% scale and the main comp 1000% scale, it does the 10% scale then if flattens the pixels and then when you do 1000% scale it’s unreadable.

    In AfterEffects you can select the small star icon and that’s it. You can transform shapes in a compound clip which is in another compound clip, so on and so forth that. Once you get to the main comp everything is crisp and sharp as a vector should be. Not a bunch of loss of details pixelated blur.

    If you don’t understand my example please feel free to try it out. It takes 30 seconds and you’ll understand where I’m coming from.

    Hopefully it exists a way of using comps that don’t destroy pixels when scaling inside pre-comps. There must be a button I’m not aware of that does exactly what the little star icon in AfterEffects.

    In AE, we’ve got that “Collapse Transformations & Continuously Rasterize” switch that’s like a Swiss Army knife for keeping things sharp in nested comps. But in Resolve, I’m stumped. Here’s the deal:

    I’ve got a project with a main comp and a pre-comp. Tried a 25% scale on a layer inside the pre-comp and a 400% scale on the pre-comp layer in the main comp. Should’ve canceled each other out, right? Instead, it turned into a pixelated mess.

    So, here’s the million-dollar question: What’s the Resolve equivalent to AE’s “Collapse Transformations & Continuously Rasterize” switch? How the heck do we maintain clarity when dealing with different scales in nested compositions?

    Your insights would be a game-changer. If you’ve cracked this code or know someone who has, I’m all ears. Let’s cut through the confusion and get this sorted.
