9.5.3 and 9.6.0 had an issue with memory leakage. They may have fixed it with 9.6.1 but I haven’t downloaded it yet, I just went back to 9.5.2.

Glad you got it fixed, but I suspect it had more to do with the 9.6.1 BM driver than the Mountain Lion. 😉

You have a memory leak somewhere. Have a look at your performance monitor while working in PPro – your RAM will slowly be gobbled up by Premiere.

Are you running a Blackmagic card by any chance? If so, do not use any driver newer than 9.5.2. If not, I would suggest you start by making sure your video card drivers are up to date.

Yes, native DV footage mostly (encoded from Beta).

Hey Joshua,

Thanks for looking into this. Here’s my system specs:

CPU – Intel I7 3.2ghz
RAM – 16gb
Windows 7 64 bit
Nvidia GeForce GTX 285
Decklink Studio

I’ve seem this RAM issue happen with all sorts of sequence presets, but I first noticed it when playing out a 10 minute long “D1/DV NTSC (0.9091) 30fps drop frame” sequence (yes, we still work in SD at my TV station, AND still roll out to beta…I know, it’s a sad sad thing).

Let me know if you need any other info.

9.5.2 Fixed the “squeezed video/green static issue”, but I still can’t get a 720p 29.97fps sequence to output to my monitor…any word on a fix for that issue?

I’ve been in contact with Blackmagic support and this appears to be an Adobe problem. I’ve disabled all BM drivers and the problem persists.

That’s great news! I’ve been going back to PPro 5.5 whenever I need to roll to beta.
