    thanks John
Will try it out and get back if I experience issues.

  • thanks Rob, no worries about sounding snobbie…this is getting so complicated and I need the know how and a way to view quality movie.

so DVD, using vegas studio or DVD architect (using template dvd a NTSC) only has a resolution of 720×480 ? this looks awful on my HD 50 inch plasma TV.
the DVD format (not BD)must have better res-quality because when I watch a normal DVD, it looks much better than 720×480. I must be doing something wrong.

The source media I used to create my movie is from my sony HD cam. (AVC 1920x1080x12)

any other alternatives you can think of, please feel free to suggest.

I am thinking of buying a bluray burner, if this is what it takes, then again,a bit pricey and not sure if vegas studio and its sister product DVDA really do burn BD …I have seen lots of post saying it does not.

    thanks

  • hi, also having problems with DVD A (studio ver 4.5)
from Vegas Movie Studio platinum pro 9 I created, using format mpeg-2 main concept and template bluray 1440×1080-60i, 8 Mbps, MPEG-2 video stream and this created a m2v file
DVDA wont accept it. (unsupported format)

is this a limitation of DVDA ? though it could burn HD movies ?
any recommendations on how I can create high resolution movies (dont want to compress-covert,or loose quality)

note that I do not have a bluray burner, but a dual layer dvd writter. was told I could burn HD movies anyways, without BD writer)

    thanks

March 28, 2009 at 1:50 pm in reply to: how to stich MPEG with ac3 audio

thanks..the objective is to have a continuos file with no break in image or music. I have merge 6 files (3 mpeg and 3 ac3) with VOBmerge freeware and will see how it turn out once I finish burning dvd.

As for the rendering it in DV-AVI format and giving that to DVD Architect to convert ….I did not try this as I had assumed I would loose video quality…

What are the advantages of having dvd arch reconvert-re-render …does DVD arch up-render, meaning can it output in high quality video (HD) from lower formats?

    thanks
