first at all I read the PDF from Panasonic , and I don’t mean the clip name I jsut need the meta data increse the Sccen and the take with the user clip
so Clip 1 , Scene 1 , Take 1
and Clip 2 , Scene 1, take 2

the director I work with it is first time to use the P2 so he is so worry to loose any shoot so he need somthing to be sure all the files will not loose , so what you suggest to let him be sure all the data will be in safe
not like one from this forum lost every thing
do you have safe workflow from P2 to PC do you suggest to me the best thing I can do to keep all file in safe place

I use Smartstore from Promise with 4 HDD ( 1.0 TB ) actually 3.8 TB with RAID 5 It is cheaper and better than LTO but the price is 500$ plus the HDD ( 4 X $160) = $640 so totally the price is $1140 and the speed better than LTO as I think
But I ‘m looking for software can empty my P2 card to the PC and the storage ate the same time and the speed of this process I will check it today

thank you first of all I have complete shooting and my P2 64 Gb is full now I need to transfer it my question is what is the fastest way to transfer it to my PC to edit it :
1- By FireWire “I did not try my Camera FireWire if we can transfer the file from it My camera is HPX-2100”
2- By PCMCIA ( or using the adapter to Express card but it connect to PC or MAC by USB cable so the Max transfer rate is 240MB/Sec) is it faster ??!!
3- By Panasonic Drive also it is connect to PC by USB
I don’t how to transfer the file to my PC in fastest ,also I have another problem Panasonic C M it can make ingest to P2 file to my PC but My PC has vista and this program doesn’t support VISTA I contacted Panasonic about it but no answer until now .
64 Gb need 62 minutes I was using USB cable from Camera to PC , I disappointed coz the Tape is same I thought it will speed up my job
