Hi thanks for the suggestions. Its a TV editing station where we need the waveform. I have 2GB of RAM and I can check upgrading that. Will revert if I get a result. Thank you once again to all of you.

    hi,
you can, of course, capture, edit and out pu to a beta tape using your PowerBook. All you should have is a Analog to Digital Video Converter like Canopus ADVC 110 or so and a firewire hub. In case you have any difficulty in capturing to a firewire HD you can use a USB 2.0 hard drive also.
    good luck

Hi thanks for the reply. Finally I could do that but what I did was, I imported the HD sequence to Blackmagic 8 Bit PAL sequence and print to video. I actually not sure what i did is correct or not. But, of course, we need to render the whole sequence. If we can get any option which can out put with out rendering was excellent. thanks a million once again.

    hi,
sometimes its seen that running from Diskwarrior cd is more recoverable since it runs more scripts. you should try norton disk doctor incase its halts again at that point. in a very bad damage of directory, it will take hours to rebuild it. once i had to wait for about 20 hrs! good luck.
