Coming out of my flu coma for a few minutes here…
Yeah – It effects Windows and Mac.
7.4.1 is supposed to have solved the issue, but most people who have not made the mistake of updating to 7.4, have probably not updated to it. I think most of us are waiting to hear from those who have.
So far, word out is that it fixes the problem. But again, I’ll wait to hear how it goes. I’m not an early adopter.

technically, I did it in widows.
I selected the library and chose Edit > Copy, and then Edit > Paste.
Instant copy. Just rename it.

Sorry – what I mean is that Squeeze, for example, has an option where you put in the maximum file size you want, and it does everything needed to keep it at or close to that size.
Not the way I’d compress, as you loose control of things, but if you need stuff at or below a specific file size you have the option open to you.

The only place that ever told me I needed ACE certification was a training company, and they were paying less per day than if I were actually animating – which is a joke.
Being an ACE doesn’t mean you are a good animator, it means you know the tools, and because of that, there are plenty of ACE’s I’d never hire. Just because I know what wrench does, or even how to use it, doesn’t make me a good mechanic.
Don’t get me wrong – a solid reel and being an ACE is a good thing, but the ACE certification is not even close to my highest priority when looking for talented people.

I don;t know if compressor can limit the file size. You’ll have to look into that.
But as afar as compression goes, yeah – compressor is designed for this sort of thing.
As far as settings – do you mean in AE or your compression program?
In general you want to give your compression program the best possible source – so render out of AE as either uncompressed video, or a lossless compression format such as Quicktime with Animation compression. Yeah – it takes up a lot of space, but it’s only temporary. You can delete the big file when you have a final product that you are happy with.
If you must save space, you can try rendering a Quicktime with PhotoJPEG compression, but I have noticed some dulling of the color, while the picture stays fairly crisp.
If you mean specific settings for compressing in compressor, well, that will depend on what you’re trying to do.

But when someone writes: “I’m trying to create a very specific file size limit movie…” I take it literally.
It’s a weakness. I’m very literal minded when it comes to answering these types of questions, which is not always conducive to actually giving the the right answer.
