cant reduce size of footage in my comp!
hi everybody.my question is that i have a composition which includes a picture and some footages.the picture is very high resolution…it is 3000*2500,so is my comp..it is also 3000*2500
..when i reduce the comp settings to 640*480.it effects just the project window.it doesnt reduce the picture and the other stuff’s sizes…there are lots of footages in the comp..i mean if i make it from the beginning as reduced comp and picture size..it takes very long time…i couldn’t reduce the size of footage in the comp…how can i do that… -

Instead of resizing your composition try placing it into a new 640×480 composition and using the Layer > Transform > Fit To Comp Width command on the layer. This will automatically scale the large composition layer down to the width of the smaller comp while maintaining the correct aspect ratio (the top & bottom will be trimmed some).
Enable “collapse transformations” on the nested comp layer if you want to get the sharpest image possible (otherwise the large comp will be resampled and end up slightly blurry).
