    Hi Luke/Max,

I updated my AFX to 7.01, no more crashes on 8bit. Thanks for the tip.
The problem still remains though. Updated to the latest 5.7.1 BMD drivers and re exported the footage with the same result. I could email sample of the quality difference in exports between PP2.0 and AFX7 coming from the same AVI if you need to see it. Hope you guys can fix it for the next driver update. Thanks Luke.

    Hi Luke,

It seems to be happening on the image sequences exported from 10bit only. The exports from 8bit look fine. I’m still using the 5.6 drivers on this test. Another thing i found though is that the 8bit avi exports are crashing AFX7. I haven’t used 8bit avis in a while so I just found this out now. Is this an 8bit/AFX7 bug or did I have a bad avi export? Will try the 5.7 drivers tom. Thanks Luke.

My mistake. My sysad went back to 5.5 drivers, when I upgraded to 5.6 the problem went away. But I really dont remember having this problem with 5.5 when 5.6 wasnt available. Even opacity was being weird on me with the 5.5 drivers. I’ll do more tests and see what I come up with. Thanks again.

Or if we cant have separate forums, maybe the new topics can have something in the beginning to indicate if its a Windows question of an Apple question. eg:

    WT – Windows Topic
    AT – Apple Topic

“WT – The timecode for Premiere Pro 2.0 is not accurate”
“AT – Final cut crashes on the latest BMD drivers, Why?”

    🙂

This is quite strange actually cause when i uninstalled the new 5.6 drivers and re installed the 5.5 version, things went back to normal. Now all my 3 decklinks are performing quite well. I wonder why the matrox users have the same errors too. Has anyone else experienced this problem/error?

Nothing really that huge, Maybe a maximum of 500%. Would that cause it?

  • Hi Gene,
Yes I am having problems with SDI and RS 422 control. The timecode isnt exported properly sometimes. Our usual workflow is shoot on film, transfer to digibeta via telecine with a pull down, then digitize onto PP2.0 for offline, then either export an edl for online on another machine, or just batch digitize the footage to uprez.
