Recently, my fellow editors and I have noticed that our PrePro systems have a difficulty in dealing with alpha channels. For example, if I put a clip on top of another clip, and then create a 4 point garbage matte or even a crop, sometimes the effect doesnt update. I’d have to turn of the bottom layer, turn off the top layer, then turn them both on again for the clip to have the red bar unrendered indicator on the top of the timeline windw so i can render it. Anyone else running into this problem? We’re running the 5.6 drivers with Decklink Extreme. Both running on certified procs and motherboards.

My mistake. My sysad went back to 5.5 drivers, when I upgraded to 5.6 the problem went away. But I really dont remember having this problem with 5.5 when 5.6 wasnt available. Even opacity was being weird on me with the 5.5 drivers. I’ll do more tests and see what I come up with. Thanks again.
