Simply use the ‘set initial state’ on the basic tab of the constraint tag on the first frame of your project, and you should be good

    BUMP!

This is totally the answer. Effect -> Time -> Posterize Time

Dial in your target FPS, BOOM!

    Cheers!

This was a very handy trick. Managed to get the exact effect and control I needed to do some radial stuff I needed with a kaleidoscope project on my end . Added some slider controls on a null to extend that functionality for additional animation techniques.

    Cheers man!!

    Use VB Cable.

I was always having a hard time recording what I hear in windows with my external audio interface. This installs an input/output in your Sound panel which you can set for both playback and recording.

    https://www.vb-audio.com/Cable/

    Works like a charm!

If you want to hear what you are recording in windows through your speakers, set ‘Listen to this device’ by right clicking on the new output channel in your Sound/Recording window created by this app and checking ‘Listen to this device’, then in the drop down select your output/speakers.

    Cheers!

May 23, 2017 at 10:38 pm in reply to: Visible light makes objects brighter

    Hey Brian!

I had this same question. in my context, I am producing a high resolution Planet Earth and I’m using a Light with Visible Light turned on to produce some Atmosphere lighting effects wrapping around the earth surface. I didn’t like that the visible light some what lightened my blacks on the dark side of the planet, so I was looking for a solution where I could limit the fall off of my visible light.

I was searching and found this:

In the Details tab of the light use Near Clipping.

This worked!! In my example, my planet is 1000 cm’s and I set my Near Clip from 500cm to 500cm and boom, I got a perfect rim of visible light that I can now tighten or expand depending on these values, and I got the blacks back!!

    I hope this helps!
