  • Hi Leo,

Thanks for your response. I did this yesterday, and it really didn’t help. I did a complete uninstall of of Neo Scene, then reinstalled it.

  • Sorry Leo, also meant to say that I do have the latest from Cineform.

  • I have version 5.0.2. When I look for updates, it says that there are none available.

  • Hi Leo,

No nesting sequences here. I’m making selects at this point, so it’s a lot of scrubbing, inserting markers, etc. Really nothing all that taxing from what I can tell.

    Thanks,
    Adam

    Hi Lloyd,

I am also experiencing this issue and am also working with CS5. I tried your suggestion, but it’s not working. I know it’s been some time since you’ve dealt with this, but do you have any other impressions when it comes to this constant generation of peak files? It’s wasting so much time.

    Thanks for your help,
    Adam

Any luck with this David? I’m looking for this exact feature as well.

    Hi Dave,

You helped me out a while ago on a project that I was working on, and I remember this your stock answer regarding problem codecs and AE. Very helpful — thanks.

I am starting on another project and will be capturing my HDV footage with Cineform’s NeoScene. The original footage is M2T, but NeoScene will convert this to the Cineform codec with an AVI wrapper in real time during capture. I do plan on using AE CS3 for this project, so just wanted to make sure that this codec wouldn’t pose problems like the ones you mention in your stock answer.

    Thanks,

    Hey Anthony —

Dave La Ronde’s post was correct. The issue was my hard drives. I rendered and posted to some video sites and authored some DVD’s and everything was right on queue. While it’s a bit of a process, it will really eliminate a lot of trial and error.

Hope this works out for you!

Yes, thanks, again Dave for the clarification. However, my point was that I wanted to retain all the video I was using. When you pointed out what I would need to do for that, I opted to do some trimming here and there instead. I wanted to know if there was anything I was missing in terms of settings, tests, etc. When I found out I was not, I decided to use this option as a last resort.
