Alright just tried that. Worked the first time around… second time around I got the not found error, the canvas showed “viewer not displayable” or something, and final cut crashed.

Already tried that. Didn’t work. The newly saved project (that WAS working prior to restarting final cut) is the one that isn’t working. I could go back to the older one but then I’d lose all my changes, and would have to redo my edits – which i wouldn’t mind so long as I could make sure that there was a way to make them stick.

Trust me, it does. Watching the whole thing will show you. I suggest you do, its fantastic film. Any other thoughts? I know avid had a similar effect…

Okay so is just the “quick deinterlace” going to work fine?
As for frame size, should I just use the “16×9” setting, or is there a better (custom) setting to use?

Re: storage space, it might be cheaper to get a Drobo. That way you can use cheaper internal drives and always swap out once drives get bigger and bigger (it will go up to 16tb). Again its more a futureproofing solution, but in the long run (or even short run) might save you lots of money!

ahh thank you! that should solve the justification problem. doesn’t quite fix the length issue but I can fudge it slightly…

Just checked, the title crawl has a limit of 1 minute five seconds, and again, I cannot combine left and centre justifications. if it weren’t for those issues i’d use it!

okay but again… the problem is the combination of justification (I cannot have both centered and left justified) and I also can’t stretch it to be the right length (it has a limit).
