me being an AE noob, how would you say it compares to Mirage etc for Livetype-style graphics? Have been editing a large-ish project on FCP recently, so got to use Livetype and like it as a dedicated text tool. The G5 doesn’t belong to me and is going back to its owner next week, but have AE 6.5 Pro arriving next week, finally. Saw that it has 250+ text effects, I am hoping…….
any thoughts?

Although is probably implemented this way because once you make any changes, however small, the preset is no longer applicable, and rather than distinguish between a vegas preset and one that has been customised by a fraction, they simply blanket all with that description
also, some keyframes might use a preset while others don’t, so which do you describe in the box? Should it update depending on the keyframe one selects? Does AE (at which I am a relative noob) change the effect description based on keyframe selected? I don’t think so……
correct me if I’m wrong, of course.

also, have you factored in how much space your menu system in DVDA is taking up?

press S with your cursor on appropriate track
if not track selected, will cut all tracks under the cursor
