RedCine was used to create AAFs and yes it’s DNXHD 36.

So what would you do in my place? I could manually replace all the clips by using the timecode as a reference but that is really annoying.

I have access to an Avid Symphony so maybe the way to go would be to online via that computer and then maybe do a transcode/mixdown of the sequence to DNxHD 185 for use in the grading in REC 709.

I found the solution to be to just consolidate once again and remember to have the same settings as before. And also check the “skip media already at destination drive”. When I did this everything was moved. I guess sometimes Avid won’t move everything. But just keep consolidating until it gets it done.

I was told to try to consolidate instead and I did but there are still certain clips that are omitted for some reason.

What can I do? Maybe connect the disc that has the original avid mediafiles and do a Batch Import or something? Maybe doing a mixdown from the original sequence of the parts that I am missing? Wouldn’t take that long but I find it hard to believe that the consolidation feature works so poorly in Avid 5.5.3.

I’m sorry….maybe I shouldn’t have posted in here? I just searched and saw that our problems were so similar. Please tell me if I should just start a new post next time. I’m kinda new to this whole forum thing.

    Thanks

    I have a similar problem.

I have a timeline that is 720p25 and I have mixed in some DV PAL footage. Will I need to mixdown the video in some way to make it layback correctly to tape?

I am going to layback to 720p25 HDV tape (miniDV).

I think the progressive vs. interlaced footage might be an issue.

    Thanks.

I’m sorry I wasn’t so specific. I did just that, but I thought a little too soon when I wrote my post in here.

I’ve tried this and it doesn’t work. The settings are the same and everything.

It wouldn’t be printed to an HD deck but just a regular DV or miniDV deck. Is it still possible for Final Cut Pro to do so?

My audio is wave. How do I go about changing the speed to define the timestamp?

And you answered my second question. Thank you.
