    Thanks for your help guys!

Putting the layer on the Draft setting was exactly what I needed to do. I’d actually tried it before, but my mistake was that I’d scaled the layer at 135% or something. A note to others: pixel art (fairly obviously) only works enlarged at 100% 200% 800% etc.

    My thanks again!

Thanks, but I figured 2 seperate masks would be suggested. It’s just still seems more complicated than necassary. And it’s certainly a *less* flexible solution.

    To clarify, I’m not rotoscoping:

It’s just a simple figure. If I wanted his arm to turn into a tentacle and go across him, is there no easier way to get it not to go all “checkerpattern”? This may seem a little stupid, but what if I wanted to make a silheotte octupus?

    Thanks

This looks like a really good option for me- but the popcornisland link is broken. Any help?

Does this mean that Premiere Pro can’t accept XMLs on it’s own? Even CS3?

That tip seems on the right lines, thanks. But I’m still having some problems- firstly I can’t apply the “continuously rasterize” option to the layers that are DV footage. That’s what I painted on.

Secondly, if I copy the paint effect onto, say, an HD-sized solid, then the brushes only take up a small section in the middle of the layer. I can apply “coninously rasterize” on this layer, but then it won’t let me enlarge it to fill the screen. If I then nest it in another comp, I can enlarge it, but I’m not sure that the “continuously rasterize” function does anything when it’s been nested…certainly it looks the same as my original.

Is there any expression I can use to scale up the individual brush strokes and then adjust their anchor points accordingly?

    Thanks for your help
