    Hello all,

I am guessing most of you have a suite of adobe products that include Premiere and AE, and I ran into the need to move a big edit from FC into premiere. Re-Editing was not a good option. SO here is my workflow. If anyone is interested

We put together this script for After Effects a while ago, to import final cut projects into AE.

    you can download it here

    https://www.popcornisland.com/downloads

Follow the normal FC to AE instructions,
    exporting your FC to XML
and importing the XML into AE

The next step is easy. Just save your AE project as a Premiere Pro Project and, Tada, you have moved your project from Final Cut to Premiere using AE as a middle man. I have gotten it to work for me, the AE to premiere part can be a bit messy. Folders and everything are odd when you move them, but everything seems to come over ok.

    hope this helps!
Oh and by the way if you have any troubles with the FC2AE script please let us know, we are trying to get that nailed down!

This looks like a really good option for me- but the popcornisland link is broken. Any help?

Does this mean that Premiere Pro can’t accept XMLs on it’s own? Even CS3?
