Thank you very much Ultimate Bart and Dave.

I feel much better on how to approach exporting my project. I think I will try to export animation files and import them into a 8 bit uncompressed sequence in FCP. Then I will export a self-contained movie for encoding in Episode to MPEG-2. I hope I don’t loose to much quality in the process.

    Thanks for the replies,

Just wondering how you launched classic from a G5? I thought that the G4 was the last computer able to boot to OS 9.

    Thanks Ed for your reply.

Is there the same risks to viruses from downloading and progressive downloading a file? Is the quality of the file limited in a progressive download?

    Thanks

    Thanks Charles for your input,

I have decided to purchase Episode. Can you suggest some resources to help me learn how to use the encoder?

    thanks again to everyone.

    Thanks for the suggestion Rich,

I would rather stay with a mac encoder due to my work flow from Final Cut Studio. I am thinking that the Episode would be the best option for my needs, but just wanted some opinions on the competition expecially since Sorenson Squeeze came out with 4.5 which can do 3g files.

    Thanks again

    Thanks for the quick answers.

The dual 2.0 is the same one offered on the Apple Store. Dual 2GHz, 1GHz frontside, 512MB expandable to 4GB (upgraded to 2GB from Apple), 16x double layer Superdrive, ATI Radon 9600 256meg upgraded, Apple Care.

$2358 with an free ipod mini (educational discount)

The dual 2.5 is same one offered a generation before. Dual 2.5GHz, 1.25GHz frontside, 512MB Upgraded to 1.5GB (1GB special at MacMall for $40), 8x Superdrive, ATI Radon 9600XT 128 megs, Apple Care.

trying for $2529 (trying to get system for $2199, this what it was being sold for at our Compusa, but I was to late)

There still are some 2.5s out there from different companies that I might be able to try to get a better price. Just wondering if it is worth it or should I just get the 2.0 from Apple.
