    I do not work with HD, always with SD, because in my country, Uruguay, we do not have, yet, HD TV. Recently our goverment approved to use in HD Tv the ISDB-T standard some months ago.

    I do not have the problem 1 hour at a time. Yes they are old VHS tape.
    What you men with “Pop it in and record”? I do not understand.

    My exact problem is for example: if the VHS tape is 2 hours when I capture CS4 views it in less time, so I have distortion in the image and in the audio, the audio I fix wery well aplying the effect motion reduce the speed in a 40%, more or less.
    I think the problem is the velocity of the recording, because when you record in a VHS tape in SP mode you can put 2 hours, if you do it in LP you can put 4 hours.
    This also happens in minidv tape, you need to have the video camara that record that tape.Maybe in VHS tape you need also the original recorder.

    In the source monitor only play the video, negative the audio, the same hapens in the timeline.

    Thanks for your help. I install the last version of Quict Time Player version 7.4.5 and now Adobe Premiere CS4 recognize the mov files extension.
