  • Hello Franz,

Thank you for pinging this thread. For some reason I didn’t see this thread until now.

Yes, the Adobe Creative Cloud Forum needed to be added to a category. It can now be found under the Adobe category. Good catch!

    Hello Graham,

The best way is to get the link from the poster of the video. The poster of the video has the URL of the video exposed in a “Download” link when they go to their respective video page.

At this time, we don’t expose the source URL of videos publicly. Some obscurity helps detract bots from crawling, and downloading all the videos, even though it be just a little. I’m sure you can imagine, it’s rather difficult to fight bots mass downloading our content. Even YouTube has difficulty, and changes the location of their videos regularly. Site sucking bots bog down our network, and cost money to serve.

If you can’t get the URL from the video owner, there are ways to see the URL, which is not news to people in the IT field, so I’m not concerned to publish it. You can check the network activity in your browser tools when you play the video, this will show the source URL. e.g.:

    Hope this helps.

It sounds like there is some issue with your ISP blocking some content there.
I have the same version of Safari, and it works well for me.
Perhaps you could test using Firebug, or Chrome’s development tools to check what specifically is being blocked. I would assume it is something between your ISP and Google, but you’ll need to dig around on your end to find out what it is specifically.

This is a good tool for finding what you are looking for:

    Hmm… that is very strange.

Do you get any note about JavaScript above the empty space?
What version of Safari are you using?
Do you have this issue in Chrome and/or Firefox?

Are you able to see this page:

    or this page:

Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this for you.

    Hello Michael,

Thank you for reporting your problems with this page. Either the page was out of date, due to a Google map update, or your JavaScript was disabled.

I believe this link is working, and the newest version of the location update system:

    https://cow.creativecow.net/manage/location

The old link is now redirecting to the new location. I also added a note in the new page, which will appear if you do not have JavaScript enabled. JavaScript must be enabled for the update to work correctly.

Please let us know if you run into any more difficulties.

    Thanks again!

    Hello Michael,

Your detected location will change when you IP address changes, because your IP changes frequently, this will happen frequently.

On the other hand, the location which is stated on your public profile (https://my.creativecow.net/Michael-Aranyshev) will not change until you manually change it.

    Hello Mark,

This is intentional. This sort of feature would end up being abused, so we have decided to keep conversations open. However, you can converse on a user’s profile page, if you are COW friends. We try to protect our user’s from any potential spammers which would try to use our system.
